Michael Peckins Goes 3-for-3 as Old School Beats the Dirtbags, 10–2

Michael Peckins delivered a perfect day at the plate, going 3-for-3 and helping lead Old School Softball Club to a 10–2 victory over the Dirtbags on Friday at DeWitt Clinton Park.

With Old School trailing 1–0 in the bottom of the second inning, Peckins came through with an RBI single to tie the game. He added singles in the fourth and sixth innings, consistently finding ways to get on base and keep the offense moving.

Old School took the lead for good in the bottom of the third when Alex Goldman tripled home a run. Georg Colón followed with a sacrifice fly, extending the advantage to 3–1.

The offense continued to pull away from there, finishing the game with 16 hits. Along with Peckins’ three-hit performance, Goldman, Ryan Colón, Joe Torres, Frank Cerillo and Andy Santana each recorded multiple hits.

Old School also showed patience at the plate, drawing four walks as part of a balanced offensive effort. Peckins’ flawless performance set the tone, and the team took care of the rest on the way to another convincing win.
