Late-Inning Rally Lifts Old School Past the Knights, 5–3

Old School Softball Club came through when it mattered most, scoring twice in the seventh inning to defeat the Knights, 5–3, on Tuesday at North Meadow.

Old School first pulled even in the top of the third when Jake Ingmar delivered an RBI double. After falling behind again, the team battled back in the fifth. Joe Torres started the rally with a run-scoring double, and Ingmar followed with a sacrifice fly to tie the game at three.

The score remained even until the top of the seventh, when Isaac Woofter came through with a clutch RBI triple to put Old School ahead. Jimmy Schram followed with a sacrifice fly, giving the team an important insurance run and a 5–3 advantage.

Ingmar had an excellent day in the heart of the lineup, going 2-for-2 and driving in two runs. Schram and Matt Wong also finished with two hits apiece as Old School put together a balanced offensive effort.

The team showed patience throughout the game, drawing five walks and continuing to create opportunities until the decisive seventh-inning rally.
