Old School Jumps Out Early and Defeats the Knights, 8–3

Old School Softball Club took control early and never looked back, earning an 8–3 victory over the Knights on Tuesday at North Meadow.

Fred Martinez put Old School on the board with an RBI single in the bottom of the first inning. The team added two more runs in the second when Isaac Woofter delivered an RBI triple and Jimmy Schram followed with a run-scoring single.

Old School broke the game open with four runs in the bottom of the third. Michael Peckins drove in a run with a sacrifice fly, Joe Jr. Torres knocked in two with a single, and Jonah Barnett added another sacrifice fly to extend the lead.

Woofter and Torres led the offense with two hits apiece. Peckins and Torres each drove in two runs, giving Old School strong production throughout the lineup.

Andy Santana drew two walks, and the team collected five walks overall, combining patience at the plate with timely hitting to secure the win.
