Quarterfinal Series Evened as Old School Comes Up Just Short in Game 2

After taking Game 1, Old School Softball Club battled to the final out before falling 7–6 to Make It A Double in Game 2 of the CPSL Quarterfinals on Tuesday at Chelsea Park.

Old School struck first when Jimi Rossi delivered an RBI single in the opening inning, and the offense kept the pressure on throughout the game.

The team's biggest rally came in the sixth inning. Joe Jr. Torres and Randy Santana each came through with clutch RBI singles to give Old School a 6–5 lead and put the club in position to complete the series sweep.

Old School finished with 14 hits in another outstanding offensive performance. Fred Martinez led the way with three hits, while Max Blank, Santana and Jake Ingmar each added multiple-hit games. Rossi drove in two runs and continued to provide timely production in the middle of the lineup.

Although the final result didn't go Old School's way, the team showed resilience by battling back and never letting up. The series is now tied at one game apiece.

Game 3 will be played Monday, August 10 at 5:30 PM at East River Park Field, with a trip to the CPSL Semifinals on the line.
