Old School Softball Club Walk It Off Against Wayward

It came down to the wire on Tuesday at Chelsea Park, as Old School Softball Club grabbed the victory in walk-off fashion, 9-8, over Wayward. The game was tied at eight in the bottom of the seventh when Alex Goldman hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run.

Anthony Rodriguez drove in four runners in the win. The right-handed hitter went 3-3 on the day.

Old School Softball Club tied the game in the bottom of the first thanks to a single by Rodriguez, and a walk by Georg Colón.

In the bottom of the second, Old School Softball Club broke up the tie when Jake Ingmar singled, scoring one run. Then a sacrifice fly by Isaac Woofter followed to extend the lead to 4-2.

A fielder's choice by Will Wilson gave Old School Softball Club the lead, 5-4, in the bottom of the third.

A home run by Rodriguez gave Old School Softball Club the lead, 8-5, in the bottom of the fifth.

Woofter collected two hits for Old School Softball Club in three at bats. Jimi Rossi led Old School Softball Club with two walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, amassing seven walks for the game.
